Red_Type-B.jpgBlue Microphones must have thought that introducing a white Blue microphone and a red Blue microphone wasn’t enough to confuse the hell out of studio engineers. Engineers are pretty clever!

So now Red Microphones has introduced a Red microphone.

The catch? It’s made by Blue.

Somebody needs to talk to the marketing people at Blue! If you remember your color theory, you know that the Blue Red microphone ought to be purple.

Just to keep things interesting, Blue put a red lollipop capsule in the new mic. Yep - a red lollipop capsule! That’s what they tell the ladies, at least.

Included with the Type B microphone body is the Red Lollipop Capsule, an all-around capsule designed to be as versatile as possible, with applications ranging from vocals to electric and acoustic guitars, close-miking of drums, drum overheads, percussion, piano, horns, strings and any other applications where crystal-clear sound quality and detail is of the utmost concern.

Maybe the Blue Balls are the source of the problem.

The new Red Type B mic looks fantastic and has great specs, too. But, oh, the humanity of it all!
