Kevin Federline, aka Mr. Britney Spears, may have been Blinded by Science, but Thomas Dolby’s lawyers helped him see the light.
In his single America’s Most Hated, posted on his MySpace.com page, Federline allegedly used a sample from Thomas Dolby’s She Blinded Me With Science, without permission. Dolby’s lawyers made him take it down.
“I downloaded (K-Fed’s song) and listened to it,” said Dolby, “and it’s really bad, in my opinion, and the lyrics are really hateful and just unpleasant, so I didn’t like that he’d done this without permission.”
“He’s breaking the law…. But it had half a million downloads, so you can’t get the toothpaste back in the tube.”
