Winnipeg police are looking for a man described as 18 to 24 years old who knocked out a West End man Tuesday afternoon by hitting him in the head with a guitar during a home-invasion attempt.

The suspect, for some reason carrying a guitar and amplifier, broke into the man’s home about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. When the man confronted the robber, the intruder smacked him in the head with his guitar.
“The male actually lost consciousness,” said Const. Jacquie Chaput, a police spokeswoman.
The robber ran away without stealing anything and the victim was brought to hospital, she said.
