Apple_ibook_on_fire.jpgThe latest Apple MacBooks are hot - groin-scorchingly hot.

The latest MacBooks carry on the Apple tradition of running on the hot side. (In the past, PowerBooks were recalled because of their tendency to get groin-scorchingly hot.)

Gearlog quotes the MacBook user manual:

“Do not leave the bottom of your MacBook Pro in contact with your lap or any surface of your body for extended periods,” notes the manual, adding that “Prolonged contact with your body could cause discomfort and potentially a burn.”

Yow!

Laptop burns and even burning laptops have become more common as laptops have become faster and run hotter.
