South Korea’s largest airline has joined others in banning Apple and Dell laptops from its flights. Earlier in the year, there were reports of exploding Apple laptops. Perhaps to prove that PCs can do anything Macs can do, Dell laptops burst into flames, too.
Korean Air has barred all Dell laptops and some Apple models from being used on planes. The laptops were recently recalled by Dell and Apple for battery replacements. It is the largest recall of electrical products in history.
Dell laptops affected include the Latitude, Inspiron, XPS and Precision notebook models. The affected Apple laptops include the iBook G4 and Powerbook G4.
