What do you do when you have too many classic Technics turntables laying around?

If you’re Aaron Higgins, you chop one up and turn it into the TurntablePC:

Turntable PC

“This Technics 1200MK II is now a fully functioning computer,” notes Higgins. “The turntable has a new purpose: as a Windows based PC running MixMeister DJ software.”

The conversion process involved gutting the turntable, hacking a large hole in it, fitting tiny PC components into the base and creating a custom circuit board to connect the turntable’s controls to the PC.

Higgins has the details at his TurntablePC site.
