Yes, it’s Friday again and you know what that means – it’s time for the WTF? item of the week. Every week, Axehole looks far and wide to find you the strangest music news of the week.
In previous weeks, we’ve explained why bands hate Philly, shown you how to microwave an iPod, and even brought you offensive, sexist electronic music videos.
This week, instead of the usual WTF fluff we come up with, we thought we’d bring you some hard news – the Sexy Music Survey, a highly scientific survey by online adult sex toy retailer LoveHoney. We put the “highly scientific” part in italics because it appears that the survey was put together primarily to help the company sell rabbit-simulating iPod vibrators.
The Sexy Music Survey reveals that 85% of the people surveyed listen to music during sex. Not surprisingly, R&B was the top soundtrack choice for passion, while country, oom-pa and barbershop music are sure-fire ways to put out the fire.
In fact, the survey found that women prefer R’n'B to country during sex 40 to 1. Maybe it’s all the talk about trucks and getting done wrong.
Five octaves of freakiness Christina Aguilera is the female artist that people want to listen to R’n'B with, while Robbie Williams is the tops in the male dept.
