Top British DJ Paul Oakenfold reportedly is desperate to quit making music so he can become a film producer.
Some would argue that he quit making music when he released his last CD, A Lively Mind, which was only redeemed by his trashy collaboration with Brittany Murphy. But just about anything would be redeemed by a trashy collaboration with Brittany Murphy.
“Over three years ago I made a conscious effort to move away from DJing and work more on film soundtracks,” said Oakenfold. “I’d eventually like to move more and more into film and out of the
“‘I’ve worked on soundtracks for movies like Shrek, Collateral, The Bourne Identify and The Matrix, but I’d love to get into film production.”

It was billed as the biggest music festival of its kind in India — a four-day “psychedelic trance” party in the middle of the desert in Rajasthan.
But the inaugural Moondust Festival has been shut down early. The Times of India attributes the shutdown to a sex overdose, while India News reports that drug allegations forced the cancellation of the Rajasthan music party.

Festival organizers “guaranteed pleasure for all psychedelic music fans.”
“This magical event will showcase music, arts, dance, market, eateries, workshops, etc for full four days and four nights,” notes the Moondust Festival site. “The hospitality extended by Rajasthan shall be absolutely impeccable.”
Unfortunately for festival-goers, Rajasthan’s absolutely impecabble hospitality doesn’t seem to extend to ravers overdosing on sex, drugs and psychedelic music.
And then there’s the Dum Maro Dum.

Never Gonna Come Back Down is one of electronica artists BT’s greatest tracks.
The video, unfortunately, seems a bit unintentionally like a throwback to the videos of the 80’s:
There’s some sort of story going on here about BT hacking into the Matrix to hook up with the bootilicious DJ Rap, and then BT and M Doughty sort of stalk her in a “humorous” way. Ewwww!
All you need for a great electronica video some shots of the performers, some bizarre effects and some gorgeous people dancing at different speeds in relationship to the beat - no story needed.
And if you’ve got DJ Rap in your video, she should get some serious screen time.

BT Loves His Oaxaca Cheese
BT, (Brian Transeau), is always entertaining - he’s a great musician and seems to get into everything he does 100%.
Here’s what happens, though, when Mas Nescafe gets a chance to interview him: the interview ends up being more about Oaxaca cheese than BT or his music:
Best line: “Dude, where’s the Oaxaca cheese?”
