Kenny G Top Musical Golfer
Smooth jazzer Kenny G, with a plus-0.6 Handicap Index, is the No. 1 musician in Golf Digest’s list of the Top 100 Golfers in Music, beating out Alice Cooper, the Gaitlin brothers, Darius “Hootie” Rucker, and Justin Timberlake, who’s been busy getting his sexy back.
During high school in Seattle, Kenny G. made the golf team but not the jazz band when he first tried out. When his career as a saxophonist took off, he left the game for nearly 20 years but has since returned with a newfound passion.
“With the sax, I learned technique well enough so that it feels like part of my body, and I just express myself. That’s where I want to get in golf,” he told Golf Digest.
A club champion at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, CA, “G” plays a lot of his golf with actor Craig T. Nelson.

When Marilyn Manson isn’t busy shocking the world, he loves to bake.
According to the shock rocker’s wife, burlesque and fetish star Dita Von Teese, Manson is great in the kitchen and creates numerous complex dishes from scratch.
“People might be surprised to know that my husband cooks me things,” reveals Von Teese. “He baked me cupcakes on Valentine’s Day.”
If that isn’t disturbing enough, Von Teese adds that she can enjoy Manson’s calorific treats, because she doesn’t seem to put on weight.
“I can eat pretty much anything I want, so long as I’m doing my swimming,” said Von Teese. “I’m lucky - I have good genes.”

A plaque on the West Australian grave site of former AC/DC lead singer Bon Scott was stolen over the weekend.
WA Bon Scott Fan Club president Doug Thorncroft says he cannot believe someone would do this to a home town hero.
“[It’s] pretty pathetic that in this day and age people would go and do that,” he said.
“We’ve just had the cemetery refurbished with a beautiful brand new footpath put in with symbols throughout for Bon, a new gate and new archway and then some stupid individual comes and does this.”

Pope Benedict XVI has called for an end to electric guitars and modern music being played in church and is demanding a return to traditional choirs and Gregorian chants.
The use of guitars and tambourines has irked the pope, who loves classical music. “It is possible to modernize holy music,” he said at a concert conducted by the director of music at the Sistine Chapel, Domenico Bartolucci. “But it should not happen outside the traditional path of Gregorian chants or sacred polyphonic choral music.”
His comments prompted the newspaper La Stampa to compare him with Pope Pius X, who denounced faddish classical and baroque compositions and reinstated Gregorian chants in 1903.
Benedict XVI’s supporters argue that the music played during Mass is a vital part of the communion between worshippers and God.
Some may remember that Pope John Paul II was open to popular music and dance:
